People to whom we owe the names of our streets, a large part of our heritage, etc.Tras las fotografías antiguas de Balmaseda llega la sección de los famosos y famosas: indianos, políticos, artistas… Personas a las que les debemos el nombre de nuestras calles, gran parte de nuestro patrimonio, etc.

Heritage is also reflected in this museum.

Here visitors can learn about the details of the most emblematic buildings and in another area of models and drawings recreate the image of a walled Balmaseda with its castle on the hill.

We also find areas dedicated to traditions and industry: txakoli wine, commerce, ironworks, furniture, the railway and the putxera (a traditional Basque cooking pot)… And a carding machine reminds us of the “La Encartada” Beret factory, which adds to this cultural offering by becoming a museum.

A journey through our history that helps us to reflect and better understand our present.

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.27.5″
